This past weekend, we had a jam-packed Memorial Day celebration. We began our weekend by visiting North Myrtle Beach and spending the weekend baby-free (Meredith spent the weekend with my mother) with our great friends Jim and Anne Marie as well as Matt and Maureen. It was so nice to just enjoy each other at the beach, have great conversation, and eat yummy food. We really loved spending quality time with them without the distractions that our daily lives usually provide.
We got home on Sunday evening so that we could have Monday with Meredith. I took Meredith to the park with some teacher friends and their children in the morning. Meredith played with all of the little girls and while it warmed my heart, it also broke it a little. She is getting so big and independent! She wanted to slide down all by herself. On Monday evening, we had hamburgers and hotdogs with John's family. It was great to watch Meredith spend time with her grandparents, Uncle Jimmy and Auntie Melissa.
